Standard Quality Control

Pre-Shipment Inspection (FRI/PSI)Final Random Inspection

The most common quality control method in international trade. Based on AQL statistical principles, serving as the last line of defense before goods leave the factory。

What is FRI/PSI?

Final Random Inspection (FRI), also known as Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). It requires the factory to complete 100% of product production, and at least 80% of goods must be fully packed in export cartons. Inspectors will conduct random sampling based on ISO 2859-1 (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4) standards.

Why do you need FRI?

This is the critical basis for deciding whether to Approve for Shipment. Through scientific sampling, the quality level of the entire batch is evaluated at minimum cost.

Core Checkpoints

From master cartons to product details, strictly adhering to AQL quality bottom lines

AQL Random Sampling

Randomly draw samples from different cartons strictly according to the AQL table (usually Level II, 2.5/4.0) to ensure sample representativeness.

Cosmetic Workmanship Check

Inspect product appearance defects (e.g., scratches, stains, color differences, poor stitching) under standard light sources, and classify them as Critical/Major/Minor defects.

On-site Functional Test

Conduct full functional tests based on product characteristics (e.g., power-on test, button sensitivity, assembly fit, tensile test) to ensure product usability.

Packaging & Drop Test

Check carton shipping marks, color box printing, and internal cushioning materials. Execute Carton Drop Test to simulate transportation shocks and ensure packaging safety.

Barcode & Label Verification

Scan the barcode/QR code on outer cartons and color boxes, verify if SKU information is correct to prevent shipping errors.

Compliance & Safety

Check whether the product complies with the target market's regulatory requirements (e.g., CE marking, warning statements, high-voltage insulation tests).

Inspection Technical Standards

Minor (Minor)AQL 4.0

Defect Classification (Workmanship)

  • Critical Critical DefectDefects that may cause injury to consumers or violate regulations (e.g., sharp edges, electrical leakage).
  • Major DefectDefects affecting product function or appearance that would result in consumer returns (e.g., function failure, noticeable damage).
  • Minor Minor DefectMinor cosmetic flaws that do not affect usage but impact product grading (e.g., light scratches, loose threads).

On-site Tests

  • Carton Drop Test
  • Full Function Check
  • Barcode Scan & Readability
  • Assembly/Disassembly/Tensile Test
  • Internal Structure & Critical Component Check
  • Quantity & Packing Verification
