What is Independent Sample Picking?
Sample Picking means QTC, acting as an independent third party, randomly selects samples from in-production or finished batches without prior notice to the factory (or at an agreed time), based on the client's specified sampling plan (quantity, numbering, location), and securely seals and dispatches them to a designated testing laboratory.
Why is Independent Sampling Needed?
If the factory provides samples for testing, there is a moral hazard of 'cherry-picking'. QTC's independent sampling guarantees consistency between the samples and the commercially available batches, ensuring the test reports have true legal and commercial validity.
Service Execution Process
Fully traceable from plan confirmation to sample receipt
Sampling Plan Confirmation
Based on the PO or testing standards (e.g., GB/T, ISO, ASTM) provided by the client, develop a written sampling plan, including sample quantity, model, extraction method, and lab address.
On-site Random Picking
Upon arrival at the factory or warehouse, the inspector randomly extracts samples from different batches/locations on the spot, avoiding factory interference, and photographs the entire extraction process.
Independent Sealing Preservation
Samples are immediately tamper-evident sealed (QTC proprietary seals/evidence bags) after extraction, indicating sample info, extraction time, and quantity to ensure sample integrity.
Chain of Custody Record
Record the complete Chain of Custody from factory extraction to lab receipt, with written signature confirmation at every step, preventing samples from being swapped.
Sample Transportation Arrangement
QTC can arrange cold chain/standard express delivery, or the client can arrange pickup. We are responsible for ensuring the sample remains in its original state before handover.
Lab Receipt Handoff
Samples can be sent directly to QTC partner labs (CNAS/ILAC accredited) or to institutions specified by the client, always providing delivery receipts.
